The Finish Line
Is Never The End

a campaign by Digitas for Honda and the Japanese Grand Prix
Intro

In October 2019, Digitas UK created a high-octane sequel to the acclaimed ‘Powered By Honda’ film released in April 2019 to celebrate Honda’s endless race to success, and return home to the Japanese Grand Prix.

“The Finish Line Is Never The End” showcased Honda’s key moments brought to life through stories of the best laps, cars and engines from F1 history and delighted international audiences on YouTube, Twitter and Instagram.

Archive F1 footage of the races was stitched together with bespoke Japanese-anime inspired animation by Mainframe. The sound of real engines was overlaid with a thundering soundtrack, inspired by Japanese Taiko drumming, by Strings & Tins. Strategy, creative direction, production and media by Digitas UK.[Dreams]/ Powered by Honda.
